Hidden

The monster found me last night
She tried to tempt me,
Tried to change me
She reached out her claws,
Sharp like glass
Her fangs glistened like crystal
Ready to bite me,
To drain the life out of me
She nearly won
I gave in,
Showed her my weaknesses
But all I could hear was your voice,
See your face
Thought how you would react
If you knew what went on,
Knew my shame
Disgusted, I slayed the monster
Slaughtered her like the beast she was
And now I hide the carcass
With everything else,
Stowed away in my closet
Under my bed,
Behind closed doors,
Where she belongs
Where they all belong
Where I belong
