My body is aching,
Aching, and waiting
Yearning for the day
I get to be in your arms
My blood runs cold
Until the day
I am able to feel
Your loving touch
My eyes grow tired
They wish to gaze upon
Actual flesh,
Actual perfection
My lips grow hopeful
Wishing so desperately
To caress each and every inch
Of your warm skin
My fingertips grow restless
Fidgeting without purpose
They yearn to touch you
To feel you
Can you feel that,
See that?
That’s me, without you.
A mess.
Aching, and waiting
Yearning for the day
I get to be in your arms
My blood runs cold
Until the day
I am able to feel
Your loving touch
My eyes grow tired
They wish to gaze upon
Actual flesh,
Actual perfection
My lips grow hopeful
Wishing so desperately
To caress each and every inch
Of your warm skin
My fingertips grow restless
Fidgeting without purpose
They yearn to touch you
To feel you
Can you feel that,
See that?
That’s me, without you.
A mess.
